How to apply for Fall 2027
Step 1: Confirm eligibility
Meet with a CCA advisor to certify your academic standing and program enrollment.
Step 2: Express interest
Notify CCA of your interest in SF State so your academic data and financial aid package details can be prepared for coordination.
Step 3: Complete the Cal State Apply application. Students are required to submit their application through the Cal State Apply portal. CCA advisors will provide you with specific guidance on how to designate yourself as a "Teach-Out" or "Priority Transfer" student within the portal to ensure your application is prioritized and fees are handled correctly.
Step 4: Transcript and record transmission. After you initiate your application via Cal State Apply, CCA will securely and confidentially transmit your official transcripts and academic/financial records directly to the admissions office at SF State. This ensures a streamlined credit evaluation without the need for you to manually order additional official documents.
Step 5: Review your cost of attendance
Once you indicate interest, SF State expects to provide you with a clear, written explanation of your initial and projected cost of attendance.
